Most blockers only match a phone number against a list. Ours looks at what the message is actually trying to do — and decides in seconds.
- The real destination. Shortened and redirected links are unrolled to where they truly lead, and that address is checked — not the text you were shown.
- The sender's history. A number or link seen in earlier scams is treated as suspect from the first message.
- The words themselves. The message is read for the patterns scams reuse — fake refunds, delivery fees, locked accounts.
- Even a screenshot. Forward a suspicious message as an image and it is read too, link and all.
The text message is where the money actually leaves.
Canadians lost $704 million to fraud in 2025 — the worst year on record. And the tactic that keeps working is the simplest one: a short message, a plausible reason, a link.
The advice everyone gives — “just don't click” — puts the whole burden on the person holding the phone, usually in three seconds, usually while distracted. We think that is a bad place to put the burden.
